I've got to admit, I think it's pretty cool. I mean, sad, but also very cool if you don't think about the larger implications of it. Still better than sitting at home in front of the tube.

That's kind of what I was thinking. If this is what the kids are enjoying, well, there's been a lot of bemoaning everyone isolated in their own private electronic reality instead of "connecting." Well, now they're getting together and watching it together! Maybe that's better. If this is what they want to watch, I can't understand it personally but it isn't really meant for me, and why shouldn't they go and watch it?

Not so different from watching a movie; I guess when movies were new some people thought it was the end of civilization then too.
